As a result of our continuing growth and the increasing demand for our services, we are now seeking to expand our team of Practice Nurses working on an exciting and prestigious contract within the nuclear industry for one of our clients in Berkshire.
These exceptional roles will give you an opportunity to be an integral part of a large multi-disciplinary medical team responsible for delivering the full remit of occupational health and wellbeing services across two major manufacturing sites.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting the Paramedic Team in undertaking Emergency Medical Response duties, carrying out walk in treatment clinics, conducting programmes of health assessments and surveillance and undertaking Drug and Alcohol Tests. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills further to undertake additional Occupational Health and Well Being duties to prevent work related ill health and keep people healthy at work.
You will need to be a Registered General Nurse with ideally at least 5 years post registration Experience. Experience working in an Accident & Emergency or Minor Treatment service or within an Occupational Health setting will be beneficial. Military experience may also be helpful but not an absolute necessity, as full training will be given.

Full Training will be provided on all aspects of Radiation Medicine.
Because the role involves working on one of the UK’s highest security sites, to apply you will need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past 10 years. You will also need to live within 1 hour of the RG7 postcode area.
The successful candidate will be required to work shifts that cover site operational hours between 6am – 11pm. Each shift is normally 8–9 hours in duration. There will also be the occasional requirement to cover weekend shifts (normally limited to one shift per month) and to contribute to the on-call rota (normally 7–8 weeks a year). Successful candidates will need Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance. Security clearance is carried out by uksv – an independent organisation.
