Job Summary:

The Bid Writer role is critical to the successful growth of Team Prevent (TP). This role is a key member of the Sales and Marketing team providing professional proposal support for both new business and existing account opportunities.

This role is responsible for planning and coordinating bid proposal responses which includes the collation and analysis of key evidence to demonstrate how we can add value to a client’s organisation. This role includes multiple stakeholder management working with the wider TP team to produce winning proposals that allows TP to deliver against its sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and writing winning proposals, translating complex issues and solutions back into the client’s language
  • Co-ordination of the end-to-end proposal governance processes, scheduling reviews and updating bid plan trackers/salesforce to ensure the timely completion of bid submissions
  • Maintaining and managing the Team Prevent knowledge management strategy and bid library, ensuring that it remains fully up-to-date with the latest products and offerings including relevant sector evidence and case study material
  • Maintenance of key Team Prevent business information and certifications to satisfy the requirements of client tender requirements
  • Monitoring all formal tender feedback on proposals both won and lost, facilitating a lessons learned analysis where necessary in order to continuously improve the quality of our bid work and our bid library
  • Working with the multiple stakeholders across the business, analysing information to create specific case studies as evidence of the value of our services
  • Refreshing product and service knowledge and creating complementary service descriptions
  • Understanding and clearly articulating Team Prevent’s key strengths and differentiators
  • Supporting sector-specific marketing and sales strategies and creating collateral as directed by the Bid Manager
  • Working closely with the sales lead to understand and clearly articulate the client’s key business objectives and tailor the key sales messages to individual client requirements
  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Bid Manager

Essential Criteria:

  • Experienced professional tender writer with proven track record in writing high-scoring bid proposals and collateral
  • Well organised with excellent planning and execution skills
  • Intelligence and analytical skills, with ability to work across multiple stakeholders to create winning responses
  • Evidence of working within a bid environment with successful management of challenging targets
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a larger team taking direction from the Bid Manager as appropriate
  • Ability to build rapport quickly, building valuable relationships which facilitate access to various skill sets within the wider Team Prevent team
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written skills demonstrating visual flair and excellent understanding of language and grammar
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications, in particular: Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong reasoning skills with the ability to construct sound and persuasive arguments
  • Excellent understanding of Team Prevent products, services and key personnel
  • Good business awareness of the healthcare market
  • Flexible and agile, taking direction from the multiple stakeholders and adapting to meet changing business and client priorities
  • Confidence to challenge solutions to ensure that they exceed client needs
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a desire to make a difference and grow Team Prevent – a passion to create, sell and deliver
  • Diligent with a focus on the attention to detail
  • Self-starter – pro-active, creative and motivated to grow within Team Prevent

Desirable Criteria:

  • Graduate level education or equivalent
  • Membership of the APMP (Foundation), APMP Practitioner is desirable
  • Experience of a similar role within the healthcare industry
